Obsidian digest: December 2025
December had no new plugins, but two that you may already use learned to do more with folders and images.
New in existing plugins
Advanced Note Composer: merge and swap folders
Merge a whole folder into another from its File explorer menu: notes that exist in both are merged into one, other files move across, subfolders follow, and emptied folders are removed. You can also swap two notes, or two folders, so each takes the other’s place, even a folder and its own subfolder.
Custom Attachment Location: JPEG for every image
Converting to JPEG now covers every image you add, not only screenshots pasted from the clipboard, so image files you paste or drop in are compressed too, and you can leave existing JPEGs as they are. A single attachment can also be moved to the folder your settings say it belongs in, from its file menu.
